As the 2013 North Ontario Karting Championship hits the midpoint of the season, series officials are making final preparations for the next event. The series will head to the famed Shannonville Motorsport Park on July 13-14 for Rounds Three and Four, giving drivers a chance to run the unique and ultra-challenging circuit. The two rounds will also give Rotaxians a chance to complete their necessary punches to qualify for the upcoming Canadian Karting Championships.
The NOKC is offering a special incentive for this event on the 2013 calendar. For those registering before June 23, in all classes except 125cc Shifter, entry fees are only $100. Registration can be completed by calling Innisfil Indy at 905-775-4686 or via email to email@example.com
Race day cash prizes are also on the table for the Shannonville rounds, with $500 split among the top three finishers in classes that meet a 10-entry minimum, with $1000 split among the 125cc Shifter class, provided it meets the same 10-entry minimum.
Practice day is set for Friday, July 12, at the Shannonville facility.
The Shannonville weekend will offer some additional class options during the doubleheader event. On 125cc Shifter, Rotax DD2, Rotax Senior, Rotax Masters, Rotax Junior, Rotax Mini Max, Rotax Micro Max, Novice, Junior Lite, Junior Heavy, Senior Lite, and Senior Heavy will battle for top honors. On Sunday, the 125cc Shifter, Rotax DD2, Rotax Senior, Rotax Masters, Rotax Junior, Rotax Mini Max, Rotax Micro Max, Novice, Junior Briggs, Senior Briggs, Junior Medium, and Master Honda will hit the track.
