| Simcoe Kart Club & Toronto Kart Club Resume 4 Cycle Racing Action on July 8 in Sutton |
After a brief hiatus from racing at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton, 4 cycle racing action resumes this Sunday (July 8) with Race 6. The Simcoe Kart Club is hosting the Toronto Kart Club, and invites all ASN Canada affiliated Honda class racers to join in the racing.
The Race 6 day sponsor is Cavalier Transportation Services Inc., and Geordie Ledson has already informed the SRK that he is bringing Junior and Senior draw prizes to go along with the trophies. As with all SKC races, each of the Novice class racers will receive trophies.
The track configuration being used on Sunday is the Villeneuve layout, and it will be raced in the counter clockwise direction. Open practice is available all week, and there is no charge for camping. SKC members that have purchased the Race for Free with SKC! package, (which waives the club’s race day entry fees, and the track’s practice fees), just need to sign the waiver and receive a wristband upon arrival. For all others, the practice fee is $50.00 a day per kart, and the race day entry fee is $75.00.
The Simcoe Kart Club Executive and Board of Directors will be meeting on Saturday afternoon. Three topics included for discussion in the Agenda are Choosing the date for the race that was postponed on June 17, Organizing SKC’s first-ever night race, and finalizing the details for our August pot-luck-bbq with the Toronto Kart Club.
The Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series will have officials at Sutton this weekend for all karters wishing to pre-register for the August 1-5, Canadian National BEAR HUNT races at Shannonville Motorsport Park. The entry fee for all BSRKC classes is $85.00 each. Reserved grandstand parking is still available. The cost is $100.00. This fee must be pre-paid, as it reserves the parking for all five days of this prestigious event from Wednesday to Sunday.
Racers are encouraged to mark this Sunday, July 8 on their calendars, so that they racing at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton, together with the Simcoe and Toronto kart clubs.
