Series News: FWT Live! Releases January Viewership Numbers
 


Formula Kart Productions released today the January viewership numbers for the Florida Winter Tour’s ground-breaking media coverage, FWT Live! powered by Supertune USA and DeFrancesco Racing.

After its debut season of 2009, FWT Live! blasted into 2010 by crushing all of its previous viewership benchmarks for its unique combination of live streaming video, live timing and scoring, up-to-the-minute results, and live audience interactive blog.

January 2010 viewership statistics are as follows:

- 27,873 unique viewers of the live video broadcasts
- viewers from 47 of the United States
- viewers from 52 countries around the world
- 4,364 archived video requests
- 10,000+ live blog participants

“Our content delivery network partners have been integral in helping us track our global viewership, while maintaining a high quality display and flawless video stream,” commented FWT owner/promoter Bill Wright. “We’re immensely pleased to have viewer participation from almost every state in the U.S.A. And with viewers from over 50 countries, it’s a tremendous global presence that really cements FWT Live! as the leader in world-wide karting coverage.”

The two January FWT Live! broadcasts reached every country in western Europe, every country in North America, most of central and South America, and included such far away nations as the Ukraine, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, China, Republic of Korea, Israel, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and India.

FWT Live! powered by Supertune USA and DFR resumes its 2010 broadcast schedule during the month of February, with live broadcasts of all pre-finals and finals from Palm Beach International Raceway. Formula Kart Championship Series coverage will air Saturday and Sunday, February 13-14, 2010. FWT Rotax Max Challenge coverage will air the following weekend, February 20-21, 2010.

FWT Live! is a free-of-charge live experience, brought to the global karting community with the support of Formula Kart Productions, Supertune USA, DeFrancesco Racing, and associate sponsors Ocala Gran Prix, Goodwood Kartways/Intrepid Canada, RDD Motorsports, PSL Karting.com, and BTK Motorsports. The Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour is one of the longest running and largest sprint kart racing series in the Americas and is the largest official Rotax Max Challenge series in the world. In 2009, the 11th annual FWT averaged 578 entries per month, including drivers from 28 different countries, 28 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces.
